Those are some great ideas. We get our movies at the library. No cost, and you can have them for a week. And we always end up getting some books too.

We would color or play cards. I recently taught my 17 yr. old to play 500 rummy. We can sit and talk and play cards for hours. I never would have thought she would like that, but she does. Kids will always surprise you. You’d be surprised how relaxing coloring is.

We spend a lot of time outdoors. We live lake front, so that might be cheating…. but we also take walks a lot. We went to parks a lot when my daughter was smaller. There are a lot of ways to have fun that don’t cost a lot.
