Bloggers to Watch in 2010

Last week on Problogger Darren Rowse ran a post by Jade Craven titled 30 Bloggers to Watch in 2010. After that, another blogger created a list of bloggers to watch who were not on Jade’s list. This week Darren has asked the rest of us to come up with our own lists of bloggers we’re watching and share them with our readers.

One of the things people requested on the recent reader survey was for me to provide information about other blogs and websites that might be of interest to you. In light of that information and Darren’s request, I present my list. Not all of those listed below are specifically focused on green issues, but I think they’re all worth watching just the same.

1. Pays to Live Green. Patrick has a unique take on saving money and living green.

2. Domestic Cents. Nicki’s voice is about as honest and open as it gets. As you might imagine, she writes about all things domestic and she’s been working on greening up a bit as well. I never miss one of her posts and I’d encourage you to check her out, too.

3. Get Rich Slowly. J.D.’s blog is one of the most widely-read personal finance blogs on the web. He started by chronicling his journey to overcome thousands of dollars in debt and to chart what he’s learned along the way. A few years later, he’s been able to quit his job to focus on GRS full-time. He’s completely eliminated all of his non-mortgage debt, has built up his savings, and established better spending habits. He’s in the process of finishing up his first book, Your Money: The Missing Manual Bloggers to Watch in 2010, which should be available in bookstores in March. I’ve been reading Get Rich Slowly for almost two years now and each year just gets better.

4. It’s Frugal Being Green. Carrie writes an excellent blog on living green on a budget. She creates meal plans and charts her spending for all of us to see, which is incredibly helpful for those of us trying to do the same. In 2009 she created a second blog, Carrie Actually, which focuses more on her interests in technology. Both sites are worthwhile reads.

5. Steady Mom. This blog is new to me and I can’t tell you how impressed I am with it. Jamie focuses on intentional parenting by sharing her experiences with her own three children. Her new book, Steady Days, is now available on Amazon Bloggers to Watch in 2010. If you visit her site, definitely visit her About Me, About My Little People and Frequently Asked Questions pages to get to know her a little better.

6. ZRecs. Z Recs is an ever-expanding network of goodness. The popular Z Recommends blog centers around product safety and quality for kids’ stuff. As their network expands, there’s now something for nearly everyone.

Who would you add to the list?
